Decks

Weather removing and replacing an existing deck or designing a new deck system we will work with you to help understand the many types of materials to build from and the advantages of each.

Gazebo

This gazebo, having sentimental value to the client, was structurally not safe and in need of repair. We added structural corner supports to the post and roof connections, replaced the floor joists, flooring, lattice, built new custom made railings. To help hold the cost down we were able to salvage many of the old balusters and the homeowner did the painting.

Flower Boxes

In the customer's words: Greg designed, built and installed two large custom planter boxes onto my existing deck. The planters are "L"-shaped and about 21' x 8' in size, so they are pretty large. The boxes run along the edges of my deck, completely encapsulating it except for the opening at the steps. He also built some move-able benches that can be placed anywhere along the planter boxes to create a sitting area.

I contacted Greg and gave him a rough idea of what I had in mind. He then found a large sampling of planter box pictures and had me pick out the styles that I liked. I picked out a specific image and he used it as his template. From that single image and a rough sketch I made, he designed the planter boxes and sent over a computer rendering of what they would look like.

Greg began by partially building the boxes in his shop. After that, his crew delivered the pieces to my house to be installed on a later date. Two days later, Greg and his crew came out and completed the assembly of the boxes and installed them onto the deck.

The most fascinating aspect of my story is that I have still yet to meet Greg in person. All of our communication was via email and phone calls -- I was out of town when he installed the boxes on my deck. Greg was very responsive both in email and on the phone.

Greg and his team did a fantastic job and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. I will definitely call upon him again in the future when we need skilled carpentry work.

Deck, Private Home

The homeowner had sever drainage issues in the backyard and under the existing deck which caused it and a significant portion of the back wall of the home to rot.

Removing the existing deck and replacing it with composite decking it will assure the homeowner years of maintenance free usage. Once the existing deck was removed we corrected the drainage issues by installing box drains, which were then connected to a series of underground conduits to and divert the water away from the home and rebuilt the rotten portion of the back wall.

Poolside Deck, Private Home

Built from composite decking this 2200 square foot deck has 4 levels and a total of 22 steps. The railings are made from redwood and the balusters are made of wrought iron.
